Tiberias Harvest built its sea farm from scratch in 2011, in the waters north-east of Pulau Ubin.
The farm structure is a modular floating cube system with net-cages of different sizes.
We grow a variety of local fishes – mainly sea bass (barramundi), snapper and grouper.
FARMING PHILOSOPHY
Tiberias Harvest believes in responsible farming and fish health management practices.
This means ensuring food safety and growing fish less intensively.
It also means being mindful of the impact on the sea environment that hosts our farm.
GROWING HEALTHY FISH
Tiberias Harvest relies on the sourcing of good quality fingerlings and feed, and careful husbandry, to grow healthy fish.
We use no antibiotics or chemicals in growing our fish.
It helps that the farm is located at a spot with fast-flowing waters essential to producing healthy, clean-tasting fish.
USE OF RESOURCES
Tiberias Harvest uses solar power for a large part of our farm’s daily energy need.
We recycle and re-use farm waste and materials whenever we can.
Net-cages are maintained using a mix of natural and mechanical cleaning methods. We do not use any anti-foulants.
The charm and serenity of the waters around Pulau Ubin is a constant reminder for us to do our part for the environment.
